What was your first encounter with Shakespeare?
I didn’t read a single page of Shakespeare until my junior year of high school. Then we did Hamlet in an acting class and I started to read all of the plays.

Do you prefer the Comedies, the Tragedies, the Histories or Romances?
The tragedies are my favorite because they’re easily relatable.

What is your favorite play by Shakespeare and why?
My favorite play is Hamlet, of course. Hamlet’s personal struggles are immensely interesting. I love how there is so much stirring in Hamlet’s mind and heart while others are initially at peace. But by the end, Hamlet’s fire absorbs every single character.

Do you have anything in common with your characters in Henry V?

Nym: My close friends and I can be troublemakers (though we’re not as bad as Nym). Little things can get in between us but at the end of the day we’re very loyal to each other.

Westmoreland: I generally report the news to my friends and like to comment on events. I am extremely supportive (Westmoreland’s has to always support the king). I sometimes

Le Fer: I value my life very dearly and would do anything to stay alive. Though I may be loyal there are very few causes that I would die for.

What is your favorite quote from one of your characters?

“Men may sleep and they may have their throats about them at that time.” – Nym

What excites you about this production?
I’ve taken a few classes with Kevin and feel like he will provide great guidance with this show. I’m excited to explore the differences between my three roles. I am excited to tackle my first production of Shakespeare and to do it with so much support. I also hope that we can make a difference when visiting the schools. I hope to inspire the students to appreciate theatre and the arts. How cool would it be if a kid saw our show and because of that decided to become an actor?
